When neighborhood volunteers hosted a learning and service program at the Millersville at Fall Creek Preserve, 5th graders from Horizon Christian School learned about Fall Creek ecology, surrounding natural resources, and the importance of keeping our environment clean. Then the kids took action!
We also arranged a follow-up field trip for the kids to meet with the Mayor!

and pictures from the kids' visit to the Mayor's office.
After their lesson, and spending time in our park, students created amazing chalk art and wrote letters to
Mayor Hogsett that you're gonna love!
Thank you, kids,
for fighting litter!
Scientists from the
Students explored the park and noticed nearby trash that's not only stinky, but sometimes harmful
to wildlife and people.
