When neighborhood volunteers hosted a learning and service program at the Millersville at Fall Creek Preserve, 5th graders from Horizon Christian School learned about Fall Creek ecology, surrounding natural resources, and the importance of keeping our environment clean.
We also arranged a follow-up field trip for the kids to meet with the Mayor.
After their lesson, spending time in our park, students created amazing chalk art and wrote letters to
Mayor Hogsett about fighting litter.

Students noticed nearby trash that's not only stinky, but sometimes harmful to wildlife and people.
